The Plantations

It all begins with ideal growing conditions:

The King of Juicy Medjoul date grows in a unique geographical area, providing a perfect climate: high temperatures, high solar radiation and relatively low humidity.  Thanks to the rare climate, “King of Juicy” is considered a very high quality date, rendering it one of the most demanded dates in the world.

Company Management

David Hai – Chairman, DH

CEO – D. Hai Agricultural Product Marketing Ltd.

David was born in Nahariya in 1961.

He developed a love for farmers at an early age, as an active partner in his late father’s agricultural trading business at the age of 10.

His talent and second passion was the exact sciences and, during and after his military service, he was involved in mathematics, physics, electronics, technological systems maintenance and development, computers and digital communication systems.

David later retired from these fields and went back to his first love – trading in agricultural produce.  He began by establishing successful retail businesses, then went on to wholesale commerce and then to agricultural product marketing, which is what he does to this day.

David believes in cooperation among the various farmers without cancelling the competition.  According to him, such cooperation will yield a competition toward excellence and achievement that, in turn, will contribute a great deal to obtaining higher yields when selling the produce and maximizing farmer profitability.  This approach was especially evident in several projects that David initiated, including the establishment of sorting, packing and marketing centers close to the farming lands in the Western Galilee, Gezer Saidon, Sharon, Moshav Ahituv and Hoff HaCarmel region, in addition to the establishment of discussion groups consisting of various farm owners, addressing issues relating to vegetables, grapes and dates.  There are currently four such discussion groups: Moshav Ahituv – cucumbers, Aravah – peppers and two in the Jordan valley, one relating to dates and the other relating to grapes.
